For Men
If you are a man with a change in your breast, see a health care professional for an examination.

Request a diagnosis. Ask for a second opinion if the problem is ignored.

Since few men have breast cancer, it is difficult to find someone to talk with who has had a similar experience. Most of your support will come from your family and close friends. You may also wish to talk with a social worker or psychologist from a cancer program. It is important for you to have all your questions answered.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer in Aug/2006 (HER-2 Positive) I'm done with chemo, almost done with Radiation and I still have Hormone Therapy until Dec/07 (Herceptin) I am doing great. The best therapy for me was to remain positive. I had five weeks of Radiation and stayed at the Daffodil Lodge; I have never laughed so much! Everyone one here is so caring. I am glad to go home but I am also sad because I will miss all of my new friends; but we will keep in touch through e-mails. I truly believe that positive thinking helps the healing process.
