Tai Chi

Tai Chi originates from the Chinese culture as a form of martial arts. Though many different practices exist, the exercise mainly consist of a series of movements that come from various martial arts but that are performed slowly and move gracefully from one movement to the next.

 

Its main goal is to promote a calm and tranquil mind, focused on the precise performance of these movements.

 

The focus and calmness of the exercise will allow you to achieve a more relaxed state of mind and reduce stress.

 

While it focuses on relaxation and meditation, Tai Chi also strengthens the body and is a known form of self-defense.

 

Accurate repeated practice will allow you to obtain a stronger sense of serenity and well-being.

 

Tai chi has many health benefits. It can help you to develop your balance, alignment, and rhythm of movement, flexibility and cardiovascular fitness. It is also known to reduce pain, stress and anxiety.

 

Learning this marital art can be achieved by anyone. Since it is a self-exercise, Tai Chi should be performed at your own pace and to your level of comfort. Remember that it is not a competition, but a self-meditation to increase your well being.
