The Victorian Order of Nurses for Canada (VON Canada) is a national health care organization and a federally registered charity that has been caring for the lives and well-being of Canadians in their homes and local communities since 1897. The VON provides more than 50 different home nursing, health promotion, support and other services. Each branch is jointly operated by volunteer boards of local citizens and professional staff who together ensure that the exact mix of VON services they deliver is based on the unique and specific needs of the community served. Among recent initiatives are home-based palliative care and respite care.

CCAC services can be used by breast cancer patients at different times during the course of their illness. Services include nursing care, occupational health care, physiotherapy and homemaking as well as the services of nutritionists and social workers. Members of your health care team can give you a referral to the CCAC programs if assistance is needed.
