 Contact your local office of the Canadian Cancer Society to see if a volunteer driver can drive you to your cancer appointment(s). Volunteer drivers provide transportation within Sudbury and to and from outlying communities.

This grant is available for patients who are referred to a ministry approved facility such as a hospital or a physician specialist, 100kms away. This program is only for patients who live in Northern Ontario.

Ask your doctor for the Northern Health Travel Grant form. Your doctor will need to fill out and sign part of the form. You should add the receipts to your return form and make a list of your travelling costs.

If your trip is more than 200 kms one way, you will automatically receive an accommodation allowance.

This charity arranges air travel for Canadians in financial difficulty who need medical care outside their home communities. Hope Air provides this service through the donation of flights on commercial, corporate and private aircraft. All requests for air travel must be made at least 14 days before the travel date.
