I was diagnosed with stage 2 grade 3 breast cancer in December 2005. I tried breast conserving surgery, lumpectomy with sentinel node removal, but because they didn't get clear margins I later had a mastectomy. I also had 8 chemo treatments 2 weeks apart. Yes it's scary to get breast cancer and yes the chemo was difficult, but I got through it and so will you. I had a lot of support from community services, friends, neighbours and family. I'm now thinking of reconstructive surgery. I never thought I would say this, but many blessings have come from my experience. I've been re-united with loving family members and I've made wonderful friends. Not only is life good, it's great!!!!
